Courses:
The first topic, covered during the first half of the week, is “An Introduction to Stochastic Control and Reinforcement Learning.”, coordinated and taught by Professors Subhrakanti Dey (Department of Electrical Engineering, Uppsala University) and Simone Garatti (Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano).
The second theme is ” Control methods for distributed optimization “, presented by Professors Ruggero Carli (Department of Information Engineering, University of Padova) and Ivano Notarnicola (Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering “Guglielmo Marconi”, University of Bologna).

General information
Location: as usual, the SIDRA school will take place in Bertinoro, FC Italy – ceub.it
Period: from Sunday, July 06th to Saturday, July 12th , 2025
Accommodation: the attendees will be hosted, on a first-in first-served basis and according to availability, in the Centro Universitario di Bertinoro in single or double rooms. Attendees are warmly invited to choose shared accommodations.

Costs:
the fee includes the registration to the School and accommodation (half-board, i.e. breakfast, lunch and social dinner).
The fee (arrival on July 06 in the late afternoon/evening , departure on July 12 ) is:
– 580,00 Euro (in double room with another participant)
– 720,00 Euro (in single room)
You could indicate your roommate in the NOTE field of the registration form.
Although non-encouraged, it is possible to register for only one of the two modules of the School;
in this case, the registration fee is 350 Euro (double room) or 450 Euro (single room).
NOTE: each participant is invited to fill this on line form, even if the fee will be covered by a University.
In this case, please choose the bank transfer payment option and write in the NOTE field that the payment will be done from University.
Registration deadlines:
The registration consists of a 2-step procedure:
- Pre – registration
- 17th June 2025: Fill in the form here (https://sidra2024.dei.unibo.it/registration/) before this deadline to submit your application to the school.
- School coordinators will examine applications to avoid overbooking.
- 21th June 2025: You will receive a acceptance/rejection communication by email and instructions for the final registration.
- Registration
- 28th June 2025: deadline for final registration, with the payment of the fee
Certified Final Exam:
At the end of the School, it will be possible to take a certified exam. If passed successfully, the certification can be used by students to obtain the corresponding ECTS credits from their PhD programs, or to meet other academic requirements of their home universities.
All the participants will be granted with a certificate of attendance to the school.
