We welcome you to the 5th European Seminar in Virology (EuSeV). These are short meetings, organized by the European Society for Virology (ESV) (http://www.eusv.eu), dedicated to dissect one topic – or two related topics.The 2017 EuSeV is timely dedicated to “Neurotropic viruses”, and will cover the Herpes simplex virus latency, Varicella zoster virus pathogenesis, Zika virus infection- transmission-neurotropim, the neurotropic polyomaviruses, West Nile virus, Dengue virus, Rabies virus, Measles virus, the Phlebovirus Toscana virus, Bornavirus, the endogenous retroviruses.
